where have you been made my heart melt mondays??
so happy life has been the right amount of crazy good i've been looking for.
the last month and a half has been so crazy that my poor blog hasn't been feeling the love as of late.

getting around by...

right now all i want is...
a car (preferably a mini cooper s)
a sweet sound system to play my fabulously random playlists
sunny open roads
and just me myself and i!

i want to go for a drive soooo bad. i am seriously thinking about renting a car just so
i can have that time i need.

life in nyc means transporting all over the city by subway (cabs make me car sick!!)
waiting, waiting and waiting for trains.
at least i still have my fabulously random playlists.

heart broken dear tom

i have had my heart set out to use the tom dixon bulb chandelier in a project ever
since i first laid my eyes on it.
when the yosi samra project came along i thought these would be the perfect lights for the lobby!
i got extremely excited and started to try and source them...
then i got heart breaking news! they no longer make this light and there are none available
in the world to purchase....wt-freak! none??
ouch tom...ouch! how could you stop making such a fan freaking fabulous light?

taking over my life

i have this problem...
when i like a song i get slightly obsessive and put it on repeat.
it's happening right now with the song "call your girlfriend" by robyn

i think it may be because i am in love with the simplicity of the music video.
this is exactly what i look like when i'm home dancing alone.
i only wish i had a dance floor that size and killer lighting to make me feel like i was in a video.

i love robyn's oddness so much.

new design project: yosi samra nyc offices

ever since i returned home from chile my days have been crazy insane (good thing)
i'm feeling so blessed with all the opportunities in my life right now!

the other day i took advantage of the perfect warm fall weather and went for a run.
while i was out my adorable friend called to say "hey would you be interested in designing offices and a showroom for shoe designer yosi samra?" my response was "ummm...hell yes!"

so by the next day i toured the site (currently under construction) and by that night wrote up a contract!
yesterday the contract was signed and i spent some good time at the new space going over all the little details with the construction crew KBR, very excited to be working with them as well. they work extremely fast. i like working with people like that.

i am completely stoked to be working on this project because i am obsessed with yosi's products.
i like their vision and i know they will be a great company to work for.

yosi has created these fantastic comfortable flats that fold up perfectly to fit inside your purse!

the idea came after he always saw girls take their heels off after leaving the club and walking barefoot (nasty)

so smart right? a fold up stylish comfortable flat!

my kind of shoe!

yosi's products are loved by many celebs in hollywood!!

he also designs adorable flats for the younger littles...those shoes are so cute i can't help it!!

his flip flop are also another huge it with hollywood's ladies.

they come in sooo many great options it is hard to pic a favorite!

big thanks to my friend and nyc event planner elizabeth kennedy for setting me up with such

a great project! i really appreciate when people do things like this for me because i am constantly

trying to find ways to help friends out so it is so good to know others are looking out for you as well!

i know it will be fast paced, custom designs, sleek and sexy and #1 goal make my client

extremely happy!

rolando santana nyfw spring 2013

fashion week was 5 insane days for me...
it meant a lot of away time from my hubby!
so i was thrilled when i got to bring him as my plus one to the rolando santana spring/summer 2013 show! we had great seats right underneath the lights and so we could see all the details
on every piece perfectly. this was my husband's first show so he especially loved being up close to all the gorgeous models. it was fun being able to quickly chat about what we loved about each piece as it went by.
