i always thought of sandy as a sweetheart,

but she turned into a real b**ch!!!

my husband took this picture today, this is on his bike path route 

to work!! check out that building!! lost the front to it's top floor, how awful to

have been parked right underneath that building.

my husband and i were glued to our tv yesterday!

i did a vlog post so our family and friends know we are ok,

a lot of texts and phone calls coming in so i thought it would be best to send them all a

video update!

daycation: vermont (video, gif)

my hubby and i were craving a fresh air - outdoorsy kinda day.
so we made a quick visit to vermont this past week and fell in the love with the north east state!
fall colors everywhere, local conversations at a diner, good food, driving in a CAR, ben and jerry's tour and some jewelry shopping! we both can't wait to go back, it was extremely lovely place!

flying over vermont was like being in a fall dream!

you have no idea how happy i was to be in a car!

local diner conversations are the best way to have breakfast!

if in vermont you must stop and eat at handy's lunch!

i had a not so proud moment while driving...

i am usually super good at noticing signs and directions.

i guess i was just in the zone!!

even though i had a driving brain fart, i still LOVED every second of driving

through the gorgeous fall colors, singing to good music and lots of sunshine!!

he didn't want it all to go to waste so he created this 15 min documentary film.
he has us answer questions about our trip which is awesome! so fun to hear what others had to say about one another. he also has footage that you didn't see from the first video.
yes it's long but it is entertaining! you can see what my hubby and i are like underwater. would you guess he is more like a girl than me??
he comes out as my inner 3 yr old morgan under the sea.

made my heart melt: daycation to nantucket (video)

my heart is still melting from our saturday daycation in nantucket.

when i was younger a good friend of mine had a sweatshirt that said "nantucket"

i remember asking her what that meant and she described the place to me.

ever since then i wanted to visit! it sounded like an east coast dream...

so saturday morning we jumped on a flight from nyc to nantucket. 

we walked from the (adorable) airport into town, about a mile walk. i loved it because we

got to see the area and feel the local nantucket vibe. we walked all over that cute little island, enjoyed lunch and spent some time at the beach. we were there for 5 hours and made the trip back home to the city.

it was wonderful to go visit nantucket, even if it was just for the afternoon.

we've been on a loot of trips and never make movies of our adventures...so this time we decided we'd make one! so go ahead and watch our video "daycation to nantucket" for a quick glimpse of our relaxing/joyous/beautiful afternoon...

we are truly blessed we can travel like we do!!

if you ever get the chance to visit nantucket GO because it will make your heart melt!

new york is where the heart is...(video)

next month is our two year anniversary of living in new york city.

i know it is not very long...but this hood is starting to feel a lot like home.  it's nothing compared to our home back west in utah.  in fact they couldn't be more opposite.  i love and miss utah constantly but new york is our new home.  we like it that way, this city is unbelievable and it still can't believe we call it home.

it is crazy how time flies.

made my heart melt: loving the concrete jungle (video)

my baby sister has been staying in new york with me this month.

sadly, this is her last week here. we spent yesterday afternoon walking around chelsea and filmed 

a bit. we both love the concrete jungle so we made a little video

showing how this city makes my (our) heart melt.

his offices at jetblue in long island city, ny is on the cover of interior design magazine.

it's so exciting reading and seeing his workplace featured in one of my favorite design magazines.

his offices are so rad and i'm glad the magazine thinks so too!

BMW design story (video)

i love BMWs they are such beautifully designed cars!

two years ago my hubby and i had the opportunity to visit the BMW museum in munich, germany,

we were like little kids inside a candy store. 

(see my BMW museum post here after you watch the video below)

i just finished watching this video on all the detail that goes into designing a BMW...

it was interesting learning that as soon as the exterior designers are sketching the car on paper

the interior designers immediately start sourcing materials and designing the interior.

if you are a BMW fan or just love cars you need to watch this!

a color test at the ace hotel in palm springs

white walls have been abandoned at the ace hotel in palm springs, california.

colorful rooms were added to give the guests' a better experience!

i'm loving this room with the pop of lime!

but this aqua color is so refreshing...

i love the laid back styling and decor in these rooms...from the exposed bulb ceiling fixture to the hanging art. 

ace hotels can never do wrong in my eyes!
